[BT TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Thursday. A meeting of the New Zealand Golf Council was held to-night, when the following resolution was passed:— .... " That the members of the council desire to record their sprrow at the death of their late chairman, Mr. R. C. Kirk, their sense of the great loss the association has suffered and their gratitude for his unselfish service to golf in the Dominion. To Mrs. Kirk and her family the council offers its deep sympathy." Mr. W. B. A. Gill, of "Wellington, was elected the new chairman, and Sir Alexander Roberts was appointed to fill the vacancy on the council caused by the death of Mr. Kirk. AUCKLAND V. MAUNGAKIEKIE. TITIRANGI LADIES' GOLF CLUB. Following are the results of the bogey handicap played by members of the Titirangi Ladies' Golf Club yesterday:—Seniors: Mrs. Dignan, 2 up; Miss Goldwater, 2 down. Juniors: Mrs. Endean, 2 up; Mrs. Sutclifle, 1 up; Mrs. O'Leary, 2 down. The C grade match played on Tuesday was won by Mrs. Patterson.
