WANGANUI HOSPITAL.

ADDITION TO THE STAFF. BACTERIOLOGICAL APPOINTMENT. [by TELEGRAPH. —OWN correspondent.] WANGANUI, Wednesday, The appointment of a bacteriologist pas decided upon at a meeting of the Wanganui Hospital Board to-day. Dr. S. Skerman. chairman of the board, said a bacteriologist was needed at the Wanganui Hospital more urgently than a radiologist, chiefly for diagnosis purposes. Recently the board paid £2OO for the examinations of specimens sent elsewhere. This would not be necessary if the hospital possessed its own laboratory and bae teriologist. Appuications for the position are to be invited. _
