ENGLISH TEST CRICKET.
SUTCLIFFE SCORES 227 RUNS. A. and N.Z. LONDON, July 25. In the test trial cricket match at Bristol, England in their first innings made 461 for six wickets.The weather was fine and there was a large attendance. The first 200"appeared on the board after 201 minutes' play. The fielding was good) but the bowling held no-terrors' for the batsmen. Sutcliffe made 227 and Hallows 135. The second wicket added 317 in 265 minutes. Sutcliffe was then caught in the long field. He had hit four sixes and 17 fours. He was in for 345 minutes, and with Hammond put on 76 in 55 minutes. Hallows hit one six and nine fours., CHINESE ASSOCIATION TEAM. DRAW WITH SOUTH MAITLAND. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. July 26. In an Association football . match' at Cessnock, China drew with South Maitland.
