LOOP LINE . CARRYING TRAFFIC,

Traffic on the Main Trunk railway at Otaki, where the South-bound express was derailed yesterday, is being, carried on a loop line, which .was put in after the accident. No definite statement as to when the main line would be repaired, was made by the Railway Department to-day. The permanent way was considerably torn about, and the replacement of the engine and the repair of the lin« are expected to take some tinW. A bluegum tree fell across the lift® this morning, between Ohau and Levjn, but the obstruction was noted and tha down limited was held at Levin until the tree was removed.
