OVERDUE FISHING LAUNCH.

BELIEVED TO BE SHELTERING. REPORT RECEIVED AT OPOTIKI. [Bl* TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] OPOTIKI, Wednesday. Information vas received this morning that the overdue launch Scout is believed to be sheltering at Whale Island in company with two Whakatane launches. It is understood that a fire was seen on" the island last night. A party of five men left Kutarere by the launch Scout last Friday on~a fishing trip round Whale Island and intended to return on Sunday. However, they have not been seen since Radio station ZIFB has been in communication with White Island and the people there are keeping a look out for the launch. Arrangements have been made for the Northern Company's auxiliary schooner Motu, which sailed from Auckland for Whakatane yesterday, to keep a look out for the" launch Scout.
