INJURIES TO JOCKEYS.

MISHAPS AT ELLERSLIE. A fractured collarbone was sustained by L. E. Coleman, a jockey, when he was thrown from his mount, Lady Arch, during the running of the Orakei Hurdle Race at EUerslie yesterday. He was treated in the casualty ward at the hospital, and later returned to his home. C. Taggart, the rider of Comical, was thrown during the Winter Steeplechase and received a bruised collarbone, necessi tatiug treatment at the casualty room. S. Henderson fell from Beau Cavalier in the same raco, but escaped with a severe shaking. H. J. Gilmer, the rider of Ramblin' Kid, received a sprained thumb. R. Morrison, a jockey, who fell from his horse during the running of the Green Lano Steeplechase, at Ellerslio, on Friday, receiving a severe kick on the head, was last evening admitted to the Auckland Hospital suffering from concussion. Ho received attention in the casualty room at the racecourse on Friday, but as he did not then feel any ill effects from the kick he was allowed to proceed to his boms.
