STUDY OF ANTHROPOLOGY.
INSTITUTE SECTION'S WORK. The annua! meeting of the anthropological section of the Auckland Institute was held last evening, Mr, Gilbert Archey presiding. The annual report recorded a large increase in membership, and mentioned a small credit balance. The most important addition to the section's exhibits during the year was the carved lentil discovered in the Kaitaia swamps. The election of officers resulted:— Chairman, Mr. W. Page Howe; secretary and treasurer, Mr, V. F. Fisher; committee, Miss 0. Lloyd, Messrs. (J. Arehey, R. A. Falls, George Graham and T. Simson; auditor, Mr. J„. B. Es&as.
