LIQUOR IN "DRY" AREA.
AGED WOMAN FINED £25.
SON SENT TO PRISON.

In the Magistrate's Court, Margaret Scott, aged 85, was fined £25 for selling liquor in a no-licence area and was ordered to pay costs, 10s, for keeping liquor for sale. James Oliver Scott, son of the other defendant, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment for keeping liquor for sale. A similar charge against Archibald John Templeman was dismissed, but he pleaded guilty to being idle and disorderly, and was ordered to come' up for sentence in 12 months, conditional on his leaving the town forthwith.
