BODY FOUND IN RIVER.
FATE OF ELDERLY MAN. , DISCOVERY AT HOKITIKA. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] HOKITIKA, Thursday. The body of Mr. C. W. Clementson, aged about 60, was found this afternoon floating in the Hokitika River. Apparently it had been ten days in the water. Mr. Clementson had been engaged as a canvasser for the New Zealand Shopkeepers' Protection Association, with headquarters at Christchnrch, and also in the circulation of a petition to Parliament with reference to the Arbitration Court. He had not been seen for the past two weeks, and it was thought he had gone to Ross, of which town he was a resident in the early days.
