MOTOR SPEED TRACK.

CHRISTGHURCH PROPOSAL. STRUCTURE AT MONICA PARK. [BY telegraph.— own correspondent.] CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. Christchurch is to have the first, motor speedway in New Zealand, at Monica Park. It will be a track made of soft woods and built up at the corners <o an angle of between 40 and 50 degrees, and will be capable of carrying motor-cycles and small motor-cara at a speed of up to 75 miles an hour. The track will cost about £BOOO. It is proposed that the work of formation be commenced next winter, so that the structure will be ready for use tho following summer.
