The City Council notified the board, that it had declined to take over the "G.0.C." bus service on the ground that the company was not in active competition with the tram service In connection with motor transport approval was given to a suggestion by the Local Bodies' Association that it is desirable that a transport board be established to deal with transport matters until the existing law is amended.
