MATANGI V. WAIHOU. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON, Wednesday. Two teams representing the Waihou Polo Club visited Matangi to-day < and played matches with, the Matangi Club. Waihou won the A game and the Abbott Cup by 9 goals to 1 and Matangi won the B game and the Somers Cup by 3 games to 2. There was a large attendance of spectators and interesting games were witnessed. In the A contest. Waihou was represented by T. Hines, D. Spence, A. McNicoll and O'Grady and Matangi by V. Chitty, J. Ranstead. W. Phillips and W Townsend. Matangi vraa weakened by the late arrival of Chitty. Hines (4). McNicoll (2) and Speuce (3), scored for Matangi. In the B match. Waihou was represented by Ma<nll, Aislabie and Wright, and Matangi by W. Ranstead, C. Clarkin. R. Hinton and J. Shaw. Ranstead (2). and Sha-w (1) scored for Matangi, and. Magill and Wright for Waihou.
