TIE AT AN ELECTION.
AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE. RETURNING OFFICER DECIDES. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CHKISTCHURCH. Monday. For the seat on the Canterbury Agricultural College Board of Governors to represent the Canterbury members of the Legislature, Mr. H. A. Knight and Mr., Gisorge Murray tied with seven votes; each, and the returning officer gave his casting vote to Mr. Murray. Mr. Knight has been a member of the board for many years, and is at the present time chairman.
