Clark, Sheath,' 17, v. McMillan, Bagley, Scarborough, Thompson. 20. NEW GREEN AT PORTLAND. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAREI, Monday. The first president of the Portland Bowling Club, Mr. T. H. Wilson, formally opened the new eight-rink bowling green, adjacent to the ground. Mixed teams of local and visiting players then occupied the eight rinks, and all were loud in their praises of the way in which tha green played. Provision has been made on the ground for the erection of a pavilion, and for the laying-out of flower beds.
