MR. COATES AT HOME.
VISIT TO EARL JELLICOE. ROUGH SEA MAKES TROUBLE. A and N.Z. LONDON. Oct. 81. men Mr. J. G. Coates, Prime Minister of Now Zealand, and Mrs. Coates arrived at the Isle of Wight to spend the weekend with Earl and Countess Jellicoe, a north-easterly wind and rough, choppy sea made it impossible for the cruiser on which they had travelled to launch a boat. The Yarmouth lifeboat crew was requested to take them off. The lifeboat was immediately launched with Lord Jellicoe aboard, and after much difficulty Mr. and Mrs. Coates got in and landed safely on the pier.
