MAORI RUGBY TEAM. SECOND SWANSEA MATCH PLAN. A. and N.Z. LONDON. Oct. 26. The Maori Rugby footballers are anxious to play Swansea again. They propose devoting the proceeds of a return match to the funds of the British Legion. The receipts from the match played on October 23 amounted to £IOOO. Gemmeli, who was penalised 17 times in one match, says he fears his style is not much use, particularly in Wales. TENNIS PLAYER REINSTATED. QUESTION OF EXPENSES. (Received 5.5 p m.) Sun. LONDON, Oct. 2C>. The English Lawn Tennis Association has reinstated the Indian player S. U. Jacob, who was suspended last year in consequence of the dispute about his action in accepting money toward his expenses. PROFESSIONAL TENNIS. MR. C. C. PYLE'S PROGRAMME. NEW YORK, Oct, 21. Mr. C. C. Pyle announces that he has rearranged his professional lawn tennis programme for December or January. Tournaments will bo open to all-comers, and the prizes will be £IO.OOO, the winner of every match getting a prize. The winner of the singles will get a total of £2OOO. Immediately after, a tour of England, the Continent, China, Japan and the Philippines will be made, and tho team will arrive in Australia in October or November of next year. In an interview, Mr. Pyle said he hoped Australian stars would enter the forthcoming tournaments. He djd not offer to sign up any of them professionally. He expected thjit his advance agent would leave for Australia in June. Mr. Pyle returned from the West yesterday and says the tour was a success.
