FAT SHEEP RATES' LOWER.' Messrs. Dalgety and Company. Limited, report:—There was an average yarding of fat cattle, the majority being indifferent Quality cows and heifers. Choice prime young cows and heifers made to £9 18s; ordinary quality, £(i 10s to £8 10s; indifferent. £5 5s to £5 17s 6d. Store cattle were yarded in large numbers and sold at late rates. Four-year store bullockß, £6 2s; 3year low conditioned steers, £5 ss; good framed empty cows, £4 10s; empty 18-inonths heifers, £3 10b to £1 ss; yearling steers, £2 7s 6d. Sheep were yarded in small numbers, principally fat sheep. Prime extra hea'cy ewes shorn made 28s; average Btore fat ewe.9, 17s to 203 3d; woolly fat ewes, '24s 3d; fat woolly hoggets, 26s to 29s 3d; aged ewes and lambs. 22s Eld. The New Zealand ' Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, reports:—There was an average entry of cow beef and only two fat stcflrs. Prices for prime were unchanged. Fat sheep were penned in larger supply and values were easier. A heavy j yarding of store cattlo and springers came forward, and met with a moderate demand.
