It is understood that when this hall is erected the Education Board will consider renting a portion as a school. An up-to-date fiax mill is working in the district and a steel tramway has been laid right into the centre of tho £'hx area, thus making it an easy matter to got the flax: to the mill. Tho fiax offering is sufficient to warrant running the mill all the summer. The approach road to the Taipuha station landing from tho two main roads has been metalled by tho Public Works Department, and part of tho highway scheme, Whangarei to Taparoa, is nearing completion. It is hoped to finish this early this summer,, A large steel bridge is being built, on the Whangarei-Taparoa Road at Taipuha. A similar bridge has been built on the Marcreta JioafL
