SHOCKING TRAGEDY.
FATHER SHOOTS CHILD. SUICIDE FOLLOWS CRIME. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 6.5 p.m.) MELBOURNE. Oct. 10. • A shocking tragedy occurred at West Geelong. George Welsh, aged 36, fatally shot his daughter, Violet, aged six, and then committed suicide. Welsh, who had been unemployed for some time, took his daughter with him when ho went rabbit shooting. Later their bodies were discovered in a paddock.
