DEVELOPING ATTRACTIONS. STATE ASSISTANCE SOUGHT. [riY telegraph.—special reporter.] TE AROHA. Saturday. A number of suggestions designed to , enhance tho attractions of Te Aroha as a tourist resort were made to the Minister of Public Works, Hon. K. S. Wil- . liams, by a deputation from the Te Aroha ) Borough Council to-day. The main swimming bath has developed a leak, which is difficult to trace, and it was suggested that, the Government ( should repair the bath and also enlarge it. ] sufficiently to allow of its use as a pool for swimming competitions. It was con- ] sidered that if the bath were enlarged it would show a profit. [ The deputation also requested the Gov- ] eminent to hand to the council free of t cost a portion of tho Tui Domain, which 1 would be used to extend the area of the j present domain. In exchange a piece of t river flat near the town would be handed ] over. Iho Minister promised to plarc the sug- r cestions before the Ministor in charge of t Tourist and Health Resorts, Hon. W. f Nosworthy.
