Ranking as one of the most comfortably furnished clubs in New Zealand, the new three-storey premises of the Auckland Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen's Association in High Street will be officially opened to-morrow afternoon by the Hon. G. J. Anderson, Minister of Labour. The association's clubhouse in Durham Street, which is being vacated immediately, has served for 12 years. The new building is commodious, and has been built with a view to future extension at the back.

An imposing entrance from High Street leads through double-doors into a spacious vestibule walled with dark woods and plaster. On this floor are the executive offices, card rooms, visitors' room, bar and cloak-rooms. All are reached from the vestibule, and an elevator communicates with the upper storeys and tho basement. The spacious dining room occupies tho full width of the basement. The ceiling is supported on massive pillars. As in every part of the building there is an abundance of natujal light. This is achieved by the extensive use of leadlights of unique design. Adjoining the dining room is a kitchen equipped with modern devices. There aro several rooms for the staff.

Tho billiard room occupies the greater part of tho second floor. There are four tables and the table lighting is effected by groups of lamps with metal reflectors. The*most handsome room in the club is the reading-room and lounge on the top floor. TH library is accommodated in a partitioneu corner. The room is furnished attractively with easy chairs and occasional tables. The ceiling is constructed with heavy oak beams, and the electric lights are concealed in lanterns. A reception and dance will be held in this room to-morrow evening.
