DEATH OF LITTLE GIRL.
THYMUS GLAND ENLARGED. EVIDENCE AT THE INQUEST. ' An inquest concerning tho death of June Pearl Taylor, aged six, daughter of Mr. Herbert Taylor, - jeweller, -of Waimana Avenue, Northcote, who was found unconscious by tho roadside on Wednesday afternoon and died shortly afterwards, was held yesterday before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., coroner. Dr. J. W. Craven said he had attended the child twice in the past nine months for minor complaints. There were no marks of violence on the body when examined. A post-morten examination showed the child was well-nourished and ail the organs were healthy except the thymus gland, which was markedly enlarged. Death from this condition was liable to occur suddenly without warning. The father of the child said she always appeared to be in good health and was apparently well on Wednesday morning and also when she left for school after lunch. • ■ The coroner returned a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence.
