FREE-AIR SERVICES.
KERBS! DE INSTALLATIONS. LICENCE FEE OPPOSED. [by telegraph.— own correspondent.] HAMILTON. Thursday. A letter protesting against the charge of £3 as a licence fee for the erection of kerbside froe-air installations was read at a meeting of the Hamilton Borough Council last evening. Opinion was divided as to whether those who installed these pumps did so in order to attract custom or benefit the motoring public generally. On the matter being put to the vote it was decided that the charge was a fair one. A dissenting member gave notice of his in-, tention to move that the resolution authorising the charge bo rescinded.
