SEEDS FROM AMERICA.
A PROHIBITION REMOVED.

WELLINGTON, Thursday
An Order-in-Council issued this evening removes a prohibition imposed on the importation to the Cook Islands of certain goods from America. Such seeds as flower, vegetable, grass and clover seed, but not including oats, barley, maize, wheat or other grain, may.jiow be imported, provided the following conditions are complied with: —lf the wero grown in States other than the States of California and Texas, a certificate signed by the consignor showing the State in which the seeds wero grown is to be produced to the resident commissioner; if the seeds woro grown ia California or Texas a certificate signed by the consignor to the effect that they wero grown in cither place, but that they were not harvested prior to April 1, 1926, is to bo produced. In a similar manner, broaches are punishable by a fine not exceeding £SO.
