LOUISIANA STORM.
EXTENSIVE DAMAGE DONE. Renter. NEW YORK. Aug. 26. A violent storm swept the coast of East Louisiana, up the Mississippi, from the Gulf, last evening. Two people are reported to have been killed. The damage to crops and buildings is estimated at more than £200,000. Reports of the disaster were delayed owing to the dislocation of the telegraphic service, A packet steamer, the Terrebonne, loaded with rice, was sunk in the Mississippi River, near Donaldson. The 40 men comprising the crew readied the shore.
