PROGRESS DURING YEAR. [BY TELEGRAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] TAURANGA. Thursday. At the annual business meeting of the Presbyterian Church the chairman, Rev. J. W. Smyth, made appreciative reference to those who continued to give unobtrusive but devoted services to the congregation in various capacities. Mr. J. Murdoch read the report of session, in which regret was expressed at the death of Mr. W. Bell. Mr. F. W. Meikle reported for the managers' hoard an increase in the Sabbath offering of £4O over the figure for the last year and the reduction of thechurch debt by "a substantial 'sutn. Electjic power for the organ had been installed and generous offerings had been made for the benevolent schemes of the denomination. Managers were elected for the year as follow:—Mesdair.es Foxcroft and Hickey; Messrs. Boyd, Cameron, Carswell, Dyson, A. Johnston, Milson, McNaughton, and Vickerv.
