DETAILS OF ROLL NUMBERS.
MEETING OF THE BOARD.
The Auckland Grammar Schools' Board met yesterday, the chairman, Professor A. P. W. Thomas, presiding. Suggestions were received from the headmistress of the Auckland Girls' Grammar School that cadets should be trained in . the'girls' schools as drill 'instructresses and that teachers for the board's schools should be trained separately from .primary school teachers. It was decided. to .consult the principals .of ill the schools on the matter. It was stated that the new hostel for the Mount-Albert Grammar Schbol would he ready. for taking over on October, !. The chairman said several, alterations: had yet to be made, and the hostel would probably be opened for use next, year; It was decided to advertise" -for -a priurcipal for the. new .Grammar , School at Takapuna,: which, it is : expected Will, be ready for use about .February of next year; , ■; ; v ' • It* was-reported' that at the end of the term the roll numbers at the various schools were Auckland.
