RESERVED JUDGMENT GIVEN. Reserved judgment was given by Mr. W. E.. McKean, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday in a case in which Shack Home (Mr. Cahill) claimed from Fong Lin (Mr. J. F. W. Dickson) £32, alleged to be owing ,to plaintiff as. fees for his services as , interpreter. Plaintiff in evidence stated that defendant, employed him as interpreter for his father. The defence was that the work was done for defendant's father, who had recovered damages in a civil action. The magistrate said the amount of the claim appeared excessive) plaintiff's evidence was not Satisfactory and he had allowed four years to elapse before bringing the claim. The magistrate gave judgment for defendant.
