Professor Hugh Stewart, who is leaving ' for England shortly to take the chair of classics at Leeds University, was made a life member of the Returned Soldiers' Association, says a Press Association message from Christchurch, and presented with a gold badge. Professor Stewart, who has a distinguished war record, Was for - two years president of the Dominion Returned Soldiers' Association.
