TOWN HALL CONCERTS.
Sir, —Could you tell me why at concerts in the Town Hall the top gallery is not opened ? It used to be customary when celebrities were here and the hall crowded to put the overflow on the platform. At Toti dal Monte*s concert on Saturday night the 3s 3d ticket-holders were placed on the platform and the gallery remained closed and empty. Why should poor, but music-loving people be penalised and put to sit behind the performers. The sound naturally goes into the hall, and Toti dal Monte's radiant face is one one would like to watch. H. Johnston.
