A trial Rugby match between teams selected from the various sub-unions within the Thames Valley Rugby Union's district was played at Paeroa on Saturday, and resulted in a win for the South fifteen, which beat the North by 14 points to 6. At the conclusion of the game the following team was selected to meet Waikato next Saturday :—Fullback. G. Towers (Piako); threequarters, McQuarters (Piako). Buchanan (Hauraki plains), G. The Morrinsville representatives played Waihi at Morrinaville on Saturday and won easily by 26 points to 5. sent a weak team and several of the Morrinsville players were absent. The game, on the whole, was ragged and disappointing. During the course of play O. Mulcahy, of the Morrinsville team, dislocated his shoulder.
