The South Auckland selectors have chosen the ten players for inclusion in the team to meet Manawatu in the Brown Shield match at Hamilton next Saturday. The left fullback has not yet been selected. The other players are:—Goal, D. Hunter (Hamilton United); right fullback. J. Whitelaw (Huntly Thistle); halfbacks, H. Ashton (Frankton Railways), A. Smith (Hamilton Wanderers), <T. Hazel (Huntly); forwards. E. Barton, T. Chalmers. A. Moon (Frankton Railways), D. Patrick. A. Johnstone (Huntly Thistle).

The New Zealand Soccer Referees' Association has made the following appointments:—Brown Shield match, July 31, South Auckland v. Manawatu, at Hamilton, Mr. J. Baillie. Football Association trophy matches: August 7, Canterbury v. Auckland, at Auckland, Mr. A. E. Caisley; August 14, Canterbury v. Wellington, at Wellington, Mr. S. Wilson.

The Possibles v. Probables schoolboys' Association football mtytch at Huntly on Saturday resulted in a win for the Possibles by 3 goals to nil. The selectors have chosen the following team to represent Huntly against the Auckland boys' team on Saturday on the Recreation Ground: —Hillman (Huntly Bi. Barlow (Rctowaro), Montford (Glen Massey), J. Bate (Huntly B), Galloway (Glen Massey), W. Bovd (Rotowaroj. Brocket (Glen Massey), R. Bate (Huntly B), Adams (Pukemiro). Davidson (Huntly A). Caldwell (Rctowaro). Reserves: (in; Allsopp (Huntly A) : backs, McCullum (Rotowaro); forwards, Tait (Pukemiro) Lancaster (Huntly A).
