OBITUARY.
MR. REGINALD HORSLEY. A. and N.Z. LONDON, July 23. The death has occurred of Mr. Reginald Horsley, surgeon, traveller and author, aged 63.
The late Mr. R. C. Horsley was bo.rn in Sydney in 1863 and was educated at Sydney Grammar School and Melbourne, Edinburgh and Berlin Universities. He was on the editorial staff of the Challenger expedition commission. He vras assistant surgeon in the ear and throat wards at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, surgeon at the New Town (Edinburgh) Ear and Throat Hospital; aurist to the Edinburgh Institution for the Education <>! the Deaf and Dumb, lecturer on biology at Stonyhurst College. In 1903 he retired "from the medical profession and since then had been engaged in literary work. He had travelled extensively in Australia, New Zealand, the South Sea Islands and America. His publications include " The Yellow God," ' T£e Blue Balloon," "The Romance of New Zealand " (" Romance of Empire,") "The Red Hussar," "Hunting U Boats," etc.
