YACHT'S LONG TRIP.
AMERICA TO ENGLAND. COVERED IN 22 DAYS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Eecd. 9.5 p.m.) LONDON. July 16. What is believed to be the fastest trip across the Atlantic by a yacht of her size has been achieved by the Americanowned 11-ton yacht Primrose IV. The vessel has arrived at Falmouth after covering the distance from Nantucket lightship, 3300 miles by log, in 22 days, 1 hour, 20 minutes. A south-west wind which blew for over a week enabled the vessel to cover 170 miles a day for the period.
