INTER-CLUB CONTEST. AUCKLAND DEFEATS PUPUKE. An inter-club match was played at Middlemore on Saturday between members of the Pupuke and Auckland clubs. The Auckland Club's team proved too strong and won all the 11 matches played. Following aro the results. Pupuke players being mentioned firstl. G. Mackenzie lost to H. Tidmarsh. 2 down; A. M. The semi-final of the captain's tourney was played by members of tho Auckland Golf Club on Saturday, restslts being as follow;—A. R. Martin (I*2) beat H. P. R. Foster (14). 4 and 3; L. B. Campbell (?' beat T. R. Bloomfield (10). 1 up. During the week T. R. Bloomfield C. A. Bower. (■»), 4 and 3. In his match with Foster. Martin played the steadier golf and well deserved his win. Although Bloomfield was 4 down at the turn ho made a great recovery and WW ona ud at the 16th. He lost the Kth. and missed a sft. putt at tho ISth for a half. Members of the club are reminded that next Saturday the 36-hole qualifying round for tho club and junior championships will be played. Entries will close at noon on Thursday. In conjunction with these events the T. C. Burns Memorial Cup will go to the A grade player returning the bast gross 1 scare. A prize will also be given for the best net score. A nursery handicap prisse will go to the player returning the best net score among the juniors.

THE MAUNGAKIEKIE CLUB. A Canadian bogey foursoire played by the Maungnkiekie Golf Club at the MauntTakiekie links on Saturday resulted in a wita for M.
