TEAM LEAVES THE FIELD.
LEAGUE FOOTBALL INCIDENT. MATCH NOT PLAYED OUT. [BY TELEGRAPH.—-PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday. The senior grade League football match between Addington and Marist B, at Monica Park yesterday, finished before time, for the Marist team left the field. The Marist captainj H. M. Blazey, was asked by the referee, Mr. T. Kirton, to leave the field. He did so and two of his team followed. Several of the Marist players had a short and sharp argument with the referee and then the game was resumed for about a minute. Afte'r the next scrum one of the Marist men left the ieid, saying he felt tired. The remaining Marist players thereupon proceeded to leave the field and the match ended. The teams cheered each other upon the game being abandoned and the referee received his usual round. Viewed from the sideline the game appeared to be played in a good spirit throughout.
