Major Cipolla attended the Eucharistic Congress at Chicago in the interests of his paper. The congress was, he said, a great success, marked by the cordiality with which the different sects received the delegates. "This was the first big manifestation of the Roman Catholic religion in the United States, where there are about 22,000,000 Roman Catholics," he said. "The whole thing was a great spectacle. I saw about 300,000 automobiles and over a million participants." , From the Eucharist Congress Major Cipolla switched on to Mussolini. "Today this great' man is a power in Italy, and all eyes are fixed on him," he said. "During his three years' dictatorship Italy has mada wonderful progress. Order has been restored, industry and commerce have been bettered and so have the Army and Navy. Consequently, the position of Italy to-day is very good. He has given Italy a chance." Speaking of his visit to New Zealand and his intended visit to Australia, Major Cipolla said the people of Italy were very interested in these countries. Two large Italian shipping companies were already running passenger and cargo steamers from Genoa to Australia.

Major Cipolla will spend ten days in New Zealand and will visit the principal resorts of the North Island. He will then proceed to Australia and thence to Italy, via the Philippine Islands, India and Switzerland.
