PRESENTATIONS.

There was a gathering of tennis players at Taihape last Friday evening to farewell Mr. M. E. Alexander, who has been transferred to the Bank of New Zealand, Auckland. The president of the club, Mr. Kincaid, presented Mr. Alexander with a tennis racquet and thanked him for the work he had done as secretary for a number of years. A set of silver spoons was presented to Mr. L. R. Vincent on behalf of members of the Raetihi Fire Brigade, prior to his leaving for Hamilton. In making the presentation Mr. Tinsley, the brigade superintendent, referred to the valuable work done by Mr. Vincent on behalf of the brigade. He wished him success and happiness in the future. rresentations of a cheque from the directors and various gifts, including a leather suitcase, wer§ made at Hamilton on Saturday evening to Mr, C= W. Postgate, who for some time past has been physical director to the Hamilton Y.M.C.A. and is about to leave for Canada and the United States, 'lhe president of the Y.M.C.A., Dr. F. M. Spencer, who made the presentations, spoke of the excellent service Mr. Postgate had rendered in Hamilton.
