CRASH OF AEROPLANE.
THE PAPANUI DISASTER. MILITARY COURT OF INQUIRY. [BV TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CHRISTCHURCH. Friday. The aeroplane disaster at Papanui on March 17, when the pilot, Captain F. J. Horrell. and a passenger, Lewis Martin Reid, lost their lives and Lieutenant P. A. Turner, another passenger, was seriously injured, was the subject of investigation by a military court of inquiry at the Wigram Aerodrome, Sockburn, to-day. The personnel of the Court is as follows: Major S. P. C. Nicholls, N.Z.S.C. (president), Captain T. M. Wilkes, director of air services, Captain A. B. Williams, R.N.Z.A., and Captain N. H. Barlow, N.Z.A.F. The evidence, which is largely of a technical nature, is being taken in camera.
