DAIRY CONTROL POLICY.
EAST TAMAKI OPPOSITION. LEGAL ACTION THREATENED. The directors of the East Tamaki Cooperative Dairy Company, at a meeting yesterday, adopted the following motion: — " That immediately the Dairy Produce Control Board attempts to seize our butter under compulsion, this company will tako all legal proceedings necessary to protect the constitutional rights of its shareholders." The resolution may be regarded as a sequel to the interlocutory proceedings taken in the Supreme Court in Wellington on Wednesday by the Dairy Proprietary Association of Wellington and the Waitahi Dairy Company, Limited, to test the powers of the Control Board. The East Tamaki Company has consistently opposed compulsory control. Hitherto it has sold most of its output f.0.b., and has also exported to Honolulu, which is deemed to be outside the sphere of the Control Board's operations.
