ELECTRIC RAILWAY CAR.
STORAGE BATTERY TYPE. USE ON LYTTELTON LINE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —TRESS ASSOCIATION,] CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. A now type of electric, railway carriage with storage battery will be run on the Christchurch-Lvtteltou line, probably within a month. This will be the first of its type to be tried in the Dominion. Dominion. The body of the car, built in Christchurch, was inspected yesterday by the Prime Minister, and Mr. Coates has stated that the building of the coach is sufficiently far advanced to put it on the imported chassis, which is now in Petonc.
