MISHAP TO MATAKANA.
STRIKES QUAY AT LIVERPOOL. NEW ZEALAND VOYAGE DELAYED A. and N.Z. ' LONDON. Feb. 16. When the Matakana was leaving Liverpool, bound for New Zealand, she struck a quay and broke the boss of . her propeller. She reberthed, and will probably have to discharge her cargo prior to an examination in dry dock.
The Matakana was loaded with general merchandise from western' ports of. the United Kingdom for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She was scheduled to clear Liverpool on Saturday and was due at Auckland about March 23."
