LAND AFFORESTATION.
MATAKANA ISLAND DEAL.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] TAURANGA, Monday.
The Matakana Island Development Company, Limited, has completed the sale of 1000 acres of land at Matakana Island to a Melbourne syndicate. Seven hundred acres of this area is already planted in pinus radiata. The remainder will be planted next May.
