APPLES AND ARSENIC.
CESSATION OF FURCHASES. A. and N.Z. ADELAIDE, Jan. 8. Several representatives of English firms have been instructed to cease buying apples until further notice, presumably owing to the recent arsenic scare in England. Growers and dealers in Australia are not likely to be greatly affected, as most of the leading London buyers are'already committed to the extent of their average shipments at 13s a case, including freight.
