AN "AT HOME."

A note of rich and gorgeous colouring was to be seen in the garden, where the flower beds were ablaze with beautiful blooms, planted and 'arranged to give exquisite colour harmonies. The wide l sweep of t'.io lawns was broken here and j there with flowering shrubs and clusters j of sheltering trees, and from the terrace a wide and extensive view of the surrounding country gave a glimpse of the Manukau, that was most attractive.
