CHANGES IN WIRELESS.
TOO MANY STATIONS. EUROPE'S BROADCASTING. LONDON. Sept. 29. Prastic changes in the conduct of European broadcasting are foreshadowed as the resulte of the Internationa! Wireless Conference held at Geneva. It was agreed that Europe had more broadcasting stations than can possibly be accommodated within any wave band which the Governments of Europe are ever likely to decide upon for broadcasting purposes. The problem can be solved only by scrapping some of them and this step was generally favoured. It is probable, therefore, that Europe in the future will have fewer but more powerful transmitting stations.
