EXPORTS FROM BRITAIN. AMERICAN BANKS BUYING. (Received 8.35 p.m.) Renter. NEW YORK. Oct. G. The first substantia! export movement of gold from London to New York since Britain's return to the gold standard is in progress. The purchase of 4,000,000 dollars worth of British gold is announced by three New York banks. The latter have found it profitable to buy the metal through their London correspondents iu foreign exchange transactions.
