OTAHUHU ORPHANS' CLUB.
SUCCESSFUL LADIES' NIG HT. An enjoyable ladies' night was held by the Otahuhn Orphans' Club in the Otahuhu Public Hall on Tuesday evening. Mr. A. Murdoch, past president, presided over a large attendance of ladies and members. The gathering was highly successful and the evening proved one of the most enjoyable ever held by the club. Songs' were given by Misses H. Dye, Laura Walker, Lilian Braithwaito and Phyllis Knight and Mr. Len. Kevin. A 'cello and flute dnet was rendered by Messrs. S. and U. Pawson, and Messrs. Alan McElwain and E. Headlun Green* how contributed humorous monologues and songs. Two overtures were played by the club's orchestra and instrumental items were given by the Orphans' Maori Quartette. A dance was held at the conclusion of the programme.
