THE BLANKET DRIVE.
ANOTHER £SOO WANTED. SECURING THE SUBSIDY. . The amount collected by members cf tho Auckland Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen's Association during the Blanket Drive last July was £4500. Most of the money has been expended in the purchase of blankets and other necessities for the poor of the city. A subsidy of £ISOO was offered by the Government contingent upon the sum collected reaching £SOOO. As the amount short of this is about £SOO, the association is making a further effort, to collect this and so secure the subsidy. An advertisement appears in this issue drawing the attention of the public to the fact, and it is sincerely hoped the amount will be raised, as the object is a worthy one.
