ASSISTANCE FOR SCOUTS.
CHRIST CHURCH CAMPAIGN. EFFORTS OF ROTARY CLUB. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. Less than a month ago the Christchurch llotary Club launched a campaign to raise a sum of £SOO for the scout movement in Christchurch. The campaign has been successful for to-day it was announced at the Rotary Club's luncheon that a sum of £574 9s 5d had b»*n raised. The cost of the campaign was £4B 3s Bd. Mr. Norton Francis handed a cheque for £250 to Miss Bromley Cocks, Girl Guides Commissioner, on behalf of the Girl Guides Association, and another cheque for the same amount to Major Ashworth, Boy Scouts Commissioner, on behalf of the Boy Scouts Association.
